The Quarry is an icon that many men identify with.

Here's why...

A quarry, in natural terms, is an open pit from which raw stone is obtained by digging, cutting, or blasting. It is a place where stone is taken from its natural state and processed into a resource that is useful for building.

For us, the Quarry is not a physical place; it represents a spiritual process. It is an icon for the development of Kingdom manhood. Quarry Life presumes the belief that a fundamental aspect of salvation for men is a transformative journey towards the expression of the character of Christ, who is the image of perfected manhood.

This process that men must undertake in the Quarry is very similar to the natural process that the stone must undergo in the physical quarry. We are living stones being processed in a spiritual Quarry. The Quarry is the place where God encounters us as men, where we undergo whatever processes are necessary in order to extract our fullest potential in Him.
